Online Therapy for Adults and Parents: Supporting Emotional Growth and Strengthening Relationships
As a parent, it can be difficult to manage the emotional needs of your children while also maintaining your own well-being. Balancing the demands of family life with your personal struggles can sometimes feel overwhelming. You might find yourself trying to understand your child’s behavior, while also dealing with your own stress, anxiety, or other emotional challenges.
That’s where online therapy for parents comes in. Whether you’re navigating a tough parenting moment, handling the pressures of daily life, or looking for support in your personal growth, online therapy offers a flexible, convenient way to access the help you need.
Hi, I’m Amanda Zaidman, and I specialize in online therapy for adults and parenting support. I work with parents to provide tools, insights, and strategies for navigating the challenges of parenting, improving relationships, and supporting personal well-being. My goal is to help you strengthen your emotional resilience, find more balance in your life, and connect with your children in more meaningful ways.
Many parents I work with share that they feel more confident in their ability to handle difficult moments and more connected to their children. They report feeling empowered with new coping strategies and a renewed sense of clarity in their parenting. The flexibility of online therapy makes it easier for busy parents to prioritize their mental health without the hassle of commuting.
If you’re here, it’s likely because you’re ready to invest in your emotional well-being and your relationship with your family. Online therapy offers a safe space to explore your feelings, gain perspective, and develop new ways to manage life’s challenges. With online sessions, you can receive support from the comfort of your home, making it more convenient than ever to prioritize your emotional health.
Why Choose Online Therapy for Parents?
- Convenience: No need to travel—therapy sessions take place in the comfort of your own home, making it easier to fit support into your schedule.
- Flexibility: Online therapy provides the flexibility to schedule sessions around your busy life, ensuring consistent support for you and your family.
- Confidentiality and Comfort: Online therapy allows for a private and secure space where you can freely express your thoughts and emotions.
Online Adult Therapy
I am passionate about working with adults who want to understand their familiar patterns so they can embrace a more fulfilling life. Using Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing and Brain Spotting approaches I provide a safe space for my clients to get to know the parts of themselves that become easily triggered. How is this related to parenting? Clients who work with me learn how to parent themselves from the inside out. As a result my clients have a stronger connection with themselves and they are able to strengthen their mindful connections with their children and partners.

Online Adolescent Therapy
Let’s face it, your teen has a really busy schedule and although they could really use some extra support the thought of adding one more appointment to their day seems impossible. Luckily, I can do adolescent therapy for your child online. Using a virtual platform is second nature for teens and it can often be even more comfortable than in person visits. Virtual appointments only require a private space and a screen with an internet connection. Parents should be available for participation during the video therapy session as needed. Adolescents are familiar with connecting online and often feel even more at ease when they are in the comfort of their own home than in a therapist’s office building.
ONLINE THERAPY FOR KIDS
During the pandemic, Constructive Parenting, PLLC also began offering remote play-therapy sessions for children. While the majority of children are seen in my Charlotte office, some parents have continued to choose this option for their kids. Children are often very familiar with using digital devices to communicate with grandparents and cousins who live far away. When it comes to meeting with a therapist for online therapy using virtual technology, they are better prepared than some adults may realize.

Teletherapy for young children who need support can take several forms. One-on-one parenting sessions are an important part of the work. Once a foundation is set with the parenting session, later sessions with both parents and children together are an excellent opportunity for parents to practice new skills with the support of your therapist virtually present in your home.
I will also work directly with your child utilizing toys, art supplies, and recycled materials you have in your home to achieve the same results I get doing play therapy in my office. I will work with you to come up with a custom plan that fits your family so that meaningful work can take place.
My Virtual Office

I love using my virtual office as a tool to help children access the skills they need to cope with difficult emotions. I use the screen share feature in Google Meets to allow kids to access clickable elements that link to games, art features, mindfulness activities and more.
